Leadership
President: Tom McKinnon sets the standards for leadership and accountability at AEGIS. As 2000 and 2003 Chairman of the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA), California Greater Bay Area Chapter, and AFSA National- Region 1 Director Thomas J. McKinnon, President of AEGIS Fire Systems, Inc. involves himself daily with the development of new installation methods and new product applications. He constantly strives to improve the quality of AEGIS's fire sprinkler system service to its customers and the overall quality of AEGIS installations. Over the past ten years Tom McKinnon has spearheaded an apprenticeship training program offered to all AFSA national members. This hands-on training and testing program grants certification levels to sprinkler fitter apprentices. Upon completion, the apprentice earns a journeyman certification issued by the California DOL. By mandating this program for all eligible AEGIS field staff, we can help ensure a more cost-effective, higher-quality project.
